Acadiana poured in three runs in the top half of the 8th inning to take the 6 3 lead. With one out, Austin Knight (Ole Miss) got the scoring started, driving in Cameron Dishon (Ole Miss) on a single. Daniel Cucjen (University of Alabama) added the second run by scoring Vincent on a single. Knight, on Giambrone's second RBI of the contest, scored the third run of the inning.

In the first game, the Cane Cutters were led to victory by starting pitcher Marc Frazier (Nicholls State) who tossed a complete game shutout. The Georgia native struck out seven Stryker batters and only surrendered two hits in his second win of the season.

On July 31st and August 1st, Coach Lonny Landry and the Acadiana Cane Cutters will be hosting the Haddock Baseball Camp for youth ages 6 14! Participants will receive a pizza lunch provided after both camp days, a camp T shirt sponsored by Haddock Foundation, and one child ticket to the next Cane Cutters' home game. Duhon's Fun Jumps will also be available at the ballpark after the second day of camp.
