Hall and his wife, Ella, attend Bethlehem Baptist Church. He has four children from a previous marriage.
Finally, the recruiter told him he could join if he passed his GED test.
Hall was in the military police and based in Jacksonville, Fla. His leadership during a military plane crash in a residential area in the city led to a promotion and his selection as of Marine of the Month.
